Emma Frearson, International Officer

As International Officer, Emma oversees the recruitment and marketing for international students for the whole University.

Prior to her role as International Officer, Emma ran the American Exchange Office at the University for a number of years, having caught the ‘international bug’ from her initial degree, when she spent a year in Louisiana as part of her American Studies and Geography BA.

Emma joined the International Office in 2005, initially to develop postgraduate recruitment in North America, though her brief quickly grew to encompass recruitment on an international scale.

Emma is looking forward to the advent of new staff to the International Office and a productive schedule on the horizon, with links to the new International College Wales Swansea designing to increase undergraduate recruitment, and the internationalisation agenda for the University promising to develop further successful institutional links.

Emma lives in the Brecon Beacons with her husband and animals, and enjoys walking and riding.
